I first visited the Northwest Corner of Connecticut in 1995 to compete in a racing event at Lime Rock Park. My wife and I purchased a house in West Cornwall in 1999, and share it and the surrounding woods with Ziggy and Sam, a pair of Black Lab brothers. We are both fortunate in that we have been able to continue our career paths seamlessly, particularly with the advent of cable internet service. I provide editorial support for a handful of corporate magazines, and the views from my home office are spectacularly distracting!
Always an enthusiastic amateur photographer, our relocation to this beautiful region coincided with the digital revolution in photography. Enamored with the ease of digital, carrying the camera to the car became as normal as a wallet and keys, and with a special image every mile, that first camera was in constant use.
Encouragement from family and friends enabled me to see my first professional success in 2007 as a member of a local gallery, and producing work for specifically themed shows challenges me to evolve as an artist. I trust that 2008 will also be a memorable year. I have installed a collection of my landscapes in two offices of Sotheby's International Realty, in Kent and Salisbury, Connecticut. I will be producing new work for those locations throughout the year, so come back and visit the countryside soon!
